Just as the autumn blues are inching closer, the new additions to the OrienTales collection from Alessi arrive with a splash of colour,to warm any gloomy household.
Stefano Giovannoni, one of Alessi's top designers, continues his playful range of Far East-inspired products,as the collaboration between Alessi and The National Palace Museum of Taiwan goes from strength to strength.

The OrienTales range from Alessi was born in 2007 with the arrival of the "Chin Family". It was intended to promote Taiwan and its rich culture.

Giovannoni's inventive and contemporary interpretation of the arts and crafts of the Far East were an instant success in our Woodstock shop, Splendid Lifestyle and the range has swiftly become one of the signature Alessi collections.

New additions to this Alessi range include a characterful array of little monkeys.
The Alessi "Banana Bros" salt and pepper set in thermoplastic resin are bursting with personality as they sit snuggly in their banana boat. The "Banana Boys" which follow in the same Alessi monkey style, are a set of three bottle stops in an Alessi version of the classic hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. The Alessi "Banana Kid" finishes off the monkey business with a wonderfully finished ceramic sugar bowl and spoon, perfect for the breakfast table. 

ojaydesigns ImageThere are many more beautifully crafted new products to this Alessi range; from the "Goldfish" bone china egg cups, to the "Lily Bird" soy sauce container (before you decide whether or not you really need a soy sauce container, you have to see the Lily Bird, absolutely one for the collection), but one more product that really stands out is the "Paradise Birds" salt and Pepper set from Alessi. These oriental birds have a crafted originality to them as they hang delicately on their tree stand. If you have this vibrant set perched on your dining table, you will be hard pressed not to smile over dinner as the autumn draws in.
